This digital marketing case study is about a health and wellness client called Complete Human. While Defined Media offered a more in-depth marketing strategy than what we cover in this blog post, this will provide a high-level overview of what gaps we identified and how we helped this client reach their goals. Overall, we found major areas of improvement in their email marketing, social media, and paid advertising strategy. After addressing these, we were able to see a +55% year-over-year growth in e-commerce sales!
Before working with Defined Media: We found that Complete Human was sending out emails to customers inconsistently and when they did, they were strictly sales-related emails. They also did not have a newsletter that they sent out to customers. Rather than being a “trusted voice” in the health and wellness space, they were seen only as a “sales brand.”
After working with Defined Media: To become a “trusted voice” in their industry, we helped their brand by sharing a newsletter twice a week that was informational, as well as a sales email once a week. This helped build trust amongst customers instead of hammering them with sales emails all the time.
Before working with Defined Media: There was a lack of social strategy with Complete Human’s social before working with us. The content had grown “stale” – including random facts with little direction.
After working with Defined Media: We worked with them to create more of a solid digital marketing strategy, building a “warmer” and more eye-catching Instagram feed. We helped Complete Human show their audience that they have products to sell, but they can also be a great source for content and knowledge too! We also helped them create a consistent brand image on social media, which they were having trouble with beforehand.
Before working with Defined Media: While paid advertising may be a little bit of a foreign concept to some business owners (we can help, don’t worry), we found that Complete Human was only doing remarketing ads and top-of-funnel ads. They needed to be advertising to “cold” and “warm” audiences!
After working with Defined Media: We helped them establish a lead generation aka “lead gen” campaign so they could capture new emails. In turn, we nurtured these new leads through our email marketing strategy and were able to convert these leads into sales!
