Do you spend hours upon HOURS scrolling through Instagram Reels these days?
Well, that makes two of us!
But here’s the thing about Reels…
Not only are they extremely entertaining, but they also play a HUGE part in you reaching your brand’s goals and objectives on Instagram nowadays.
That being said, here are a few Instagram Reels ideas and tips for your business to make sure that your reel game is A1…
If you scroll through your Reels feed often enough, you might have already realized that there tends to be a little white arrow next to certain audio tracks. This arrow means that piece of audio is currently trending!
Make sure to use that audio if you want to maximize your reach for your business Instagram Reels as the algorithm will prioritize trending audio over any other audio.
Like any other feature that Instagram introduces, they want you to use the native tools they make available to you. That being said, make sure you always…
And this leads us to our next point…
Whatever you do, DO NOT post your old TikToks on Instagram. Instagram does not want you to be posting Reels that have a sticker from other platforms (*cough* such as TikTok *cough*).
Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, actually said in a past Instagram Live Q&A that the algorithm will NOT push your content and will limit its reach if you DO upload a Reel that has a TikTok sticker on it.
While Instagram lets you make some pretty long Reels, we’ve noticed across our client accounts that SHORTER Reels perform WAY better than longer ones.
In fact, we took a 30-second Reel and using the same audio, reposted shorter bits of that same Reel as multiple 10-second Reels… And they performed 8x better than the longer one!
Crazy, right?! But it’s worth trying out.
Like any other form of content on Instagram, there are plenty of best practices you can follow but the REAL secret sauce to crushing your Reels game is to test, test, test! You never know what your audience will respond to best.
